A fowarded Email

HI! I normaly don't even red forwarded emails, but I thought this was kinda cool(and a deviation from the "Friends" theme) so I though I would post it...

ALZHEIMERS' EYE TEST

Count every '
F ' in the following text:

FINISHED FILES ARE THE RE
SULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTI
FIC STUDY COMBINED WITH
THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS...

(SEE BELOW)

HOW MANY ?
WRONG, THERE ARE
6 -- no joke.
READ IT AGAIN !

Really, go Back and Try to find the 6 F's before you scroll down.

The reasoning behind is further down.

The brain cannot process 'OF'.

Incredible or what? Go back and look again!!
Anyone who counts all 6 'F's' on the first go is a genius.

Three is normal, four is quite rare.

Send this to your friends.
It will drive them crazy.!
And keep them occupied
For several minutes..!

Ulpan

If you think that school in NZ is bad,you should hear about my ulpan or Hebrew class. It was very traumatic experience....

I would go to Beyt Sefer Lao Beck (L. B. High school, lit. L. B. House of Books) in the morning, catching public bus partway up Mt Carmel. Then I would get off, and head over the road to the campus. The armed security guard soon got to know me, Rivka, the little 12 year old who didn't speak Evrite.

I would enter the building on the sunny third floor(the school was built up the hillside), then head down to the very lowest level. My windowless classroom was just across the corridor. If it was winter, I would wipe the water off my desk and find a place between the steady streams of drips for it to sit that day. Then Alana, my teacher, would write vast paragraphs on the board for us to copy. I would dutifully copy every letter, even though I had no idea what they meant, or even how to pronounce the words. Each break, you could find me sitting all by myself on the few square meters of grass, and wishing the day would end. I could literally talk to nobody, because I was the sole English speaker in the class, including the teacher. She used to try to explain things to me with gestures, but the poor lady looked as though she was doing a weird tribal dance.
The worst thing was when we had free computer period, and I realised that the guy sitting next to me was looking, quite openly, at porn. And so were most of the other guys in the class.

Of course, it wasn't all as bad as I'm making it sound. There were two nice soldiers, Hagar and Morr (Myrrh), who helped in the class, guns and all. The were my English-speaking rocks. But they had thirty students to help...
My other rock was an old Czech lady, Geveret Blum/Mrs. Bloom. She spoke only a little English, and she used to give me special lessons in the staff room. I didn't learn much off her, but it was just lovely to leave the class room for a while. One day she showed me a little yellow Megan David; she had been in the holocaust.
My last rock was Ya'el. She was a student a little older than me who helped me with my lessons after school on Wednesdays. I discovered she became a believer after we left Israel, and now goes to my old youth group. (okay, there are only three youth groups in the whole of Haifa...)

While I was there I almost stopped eating, from the stress, and it took me about three months to get over it once I'd left.

But I would still do it, knowing what it was like, for the things I got out of it. Granted, I didn't learn as much evrite as I was meant to, but I would have learned far less If I hadn't gone.
I earned self respect by sticking through the whole 8 months, even though mum didn't make me. I had the option of giving in, but I made myself stay there.
I learned confidence; in retrospect I realised there was no point being shy. It just separates you from everyone else and makes you seem stuck up.
I learned to have grace for other people. My class sure needed it.
Most of all I leaned to trust God. I couldn't have done it if I didn't know He was there to catch me.

My mum spends a lot of time trawling the internet, generally to find out about her latest conspiracy, which leads to some interesting mealtime conversation. The other day she told us a little about aspartame, aspartyl-phenylalanine-1-methyl ester. Apparently some doctor had said it was "instant birth control"
Thinking that, if it was true, I would hate to eat it, I did a little research, and got this:

Adverse reactions and side effects of aspartame include:

blindness in one or both eyes
decreased vision and/or other eye problems such as: blurring, bright flashes, squiggly lines, tunnel vision, decreased night vision
pain in one or both eyes
trouble with contact lenses
bulging eyes
epileptic seizures
headaches, migraines and (some severe)
dizziness, unsteadiness, both
confusion, memory loss, both
severe drowsiness and sleepiness
severe slurring of speech
severe hyperactivity and restless legs
severe depression
irritability
aggression
anxiety
personality changes
insomnia
phobias
nausea
diarrhea, sometimes with blood in stools
aggravated respiratory allergies such as asthma
marked weight loss
gradual weight gain
irreversible brain damage
birth defects, including mental retardation
aspartame addiction and increased craving for sweets
hyperactivity in children
suicidal tendencies
death

Aspartame may trigger, mimic, or cause the following illnesses:
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Alzheimer’s Disease
Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Fibromyalgia
Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)

Even with a healthy distrust of internet sources, the list seems pretty bad.

For information(since I can't be bothered typing it down) go to http://www.holisticmed.com/aspartame/

Aspartame is also known as Equal, NutraSweet, and Canderel, and is the main sweetener in diet drinks.
